SuBo reveals date offers are flooding in

SuBo revealed dozens of men looking for love have sent her letters

SCOTS singing sensation Susan Boyle has revealed that she’s been inundated with offers of a date since she appearing on Britain’s got Talent.

The West Lothian star, who famously admitted at her audition that she’d never been kissed, said fans had sent her photos but admitted Donny Osmond was the only man for her.

Speaking to a London-based newspaper, she said: “I’ve had a few offers in the post and, let me tell you, some of them are beauties. They say: ‘I’ve seen your YouTube video and I think I like you. I live on my own and I need somebody, too.’

“And some of the photographs I’ve been sent — oh my God! Let’s just say they were not suitable for me. Only Donny Osmond has really caught my eye — but he’s spoken for.”

Susan, the youngest of nine children, has only had just one boyfriend, in her twenties, but the short-lived relationship never progressed further than a chaste peck on the cheek.

SuBo shot to fame in 2009 with her unexpectedly moving rendition of I Dreamed A Dream from the musical Les Miserables.

In the whirlwind that followed, she was able to meet her idol as she travelled the world.

She said: “The highlight was going to America for the first time — I’d never been beyond my front door — and that was when I met Donny. I used to drive everyone at home daft with The Osmonds’ records first thing in the morning.

“Donny came to my hotel, there was a knock on the door and there was this beautiful person with a bunch of purple roses. I was, like, ‘Wow!'”

Cat

While unable to find love, she revealed that she is soon to have a new companion – a cat to join her current moggie Pebbles.

She said: “I’m not deserting Pebbles, she is well looked after, but I fancy a big, black slinky cat.

“And do you know what I’m going to call it? Simon.”

The 50-year-old singer made the revelations ahead of the release of her new album, Someone To Watch Over Me.

She said: “It’s about that special person I would love to meet, that longing for that person to come along.

“When he does, he’ll be that person to watch over me and I will watch over him. You need someone to watch over you and I haven’t had that since my mother died.”

Since shooting to super-stardom, SuBo has 14million albums worldwide and sung in front of audiences of thousands.

Despite earning more than £10million, she still lives in her mother’s council house in Blackburn, West Lothian.

After buying it, she went on to purchase a £300,000 five-bed house nearby last year — but has yet to move into the “posh house”.

She said: “I’ve got two houses, the council house and the new one. But I like my mother’s house. It’s where I started. I want to be in my own community, in my mother’s house. The posh house gets used for rehearsing and that’s about it.”
