Staff ‘mortified’ over viral #sandwichvan emails

A SUBSEA company worker found herself in hot water after a raunchy string of emails she sent her fiancé at work went viral online.

A staff member at Integrated Subsea Services (ISS) in Aberdeen included the explicit chain of emails underneath a message to other colleagues saying “sandwich van is here.”

In what appears to be a case of accidentally forwarding the wrong emails to the wrong people, the email chain ended up being sent far beyond her workplace.

The worker was named online as Melanie Anderson.

The emails spread rapidly, with Tweets with the hashtag #sandwichvan being posted throughout the day.

The couple’s HR director says they have been left “mortified” by the incident and “appropriate action” has been taken.

The emails include: “I loved our session last night… it was ace!” and “You are sexy as anything and I love it!”

Emailing her “handsome, sexy husband”, she notes “310 days to our wedding!”

The email chain seems to have begun with Ms Anderson writing “Yo… douche… what you saying?”

Bruce Webster, HR director of ISS said: “Personal emails are not encouraged at work and we have taken the appropriate action with the members of staff concerned.

“They are absolutely mortified by the content of the email trail which was meant to be private and apologise for any offence caused by it going outwith our organisation.”
