Racecourse is transformed into a ‘Romantic Wonderland’

BRIDES-TO-BE can expect to have more than just stars in their eyes when getting hitched at an iconic Scottish racecourse – as the venue has invested in almost two furlongs of fairy lights.

The popular wedding venue, Hamilton Park Racecourse, has transformed its Parade Ring Marquee into a romantic wonderland, with thousands of twinkling bulbs providing the perfect setting for betrothed couples.

“The new lights cover the entire ceiling of the marquee and the effects are magical and make the setting really romantic. We’re delighted with the results and feel sure this will make Hamilton Park Racecourse even more popular as a wedding destination.”

General Manager, Kathryn Jones, said:

“The new lights cover the entire ceiling of the marquee and the effects are magical and make the setting really romantic. We’re delighted with the results and feel sure this will make Hamilton Park Racecourse even more popular as a wedding destination.”

She added:

“We’d actually had quite a few wedding parties request fairy lights in the past but we had to hire them in specially and it cost well over £1000 a time, which is a huge additional expense. Now we can offer them at no extra cost.”

The 432metres of lights are not all the visitors can expect to find. When booking this grand venue for private events, guests are given the chance to gain exclusive access to the extensive grounds which provide vast, manicured lawns – perfect for photo opportunities.

Other suites are available for hire such as Club Lawn marquee, executive boxes and the grandstand overlooking the race track.

Sodexo Prestige and partners, run their hospitality at 17 venues across Scotland including the Royal Botanic Gardens, Perth Racecourse and Hampden Park.
