Benedictus becomes Raith Rovers’ fourth summer signing

BY ALAN TEMPLE – CAPITAL CITY PRESS

Former Dundee defender Kyle Benedictus has become the latest new face at Stark’s Park as Ray McKinnon’s Raith Rovers revolution continues apace.

The 23-year-old, who spent last season on loan with Alloa Athletic, has penned a one-year deal with the Fifers after his seven-year stint at Dens Park came to an end.

The towering centre-back is already McKinnon’s fourth signing since arriving at the club last month, following Darren Petrie, Ryan McCord and Mitch Megginson to Kirkcaldy.

McKinnon said: “I’m really pleased to have been able to bring Kyle in. His no nonsense approach, allied to his undoubted aerial presence will be a valuable asset to us next season.”
