Kirsty Gallacher denies wardrobe malfunction following “lewd” comments

SCOTS TV presenter Kirsty Gallacher may have suffered a wardrobe malfunction according to viewers who suggested she got “a little too cold” in the studio.

The Sky Sports anchor was bombarded with comments – later branded by her as “lewd” – from amused fans.

Following Wednesday night’s programme, Gallacher explained on Twitter that what appeared to be her nipples on show were in fact seams sewn into her purple turtleneck top.

Uploading a close-up snap of her sleeveless blouse, she wrote to her 320,000 followers: “For all those making lewd comments tonight…they’re the darts in my shirt!”

She added a “crying with laughter” smiley face to show that she found the situation amusing.

Gallacher had to take action after receiving a barrage of remarks from viewers.

Twitter user Nash_Ram wrote to the 39-year-old: “I’m wondering whether @TheRealKirstyG decided to go bra-less today #nipplestand.”

Andy Athers asked: “Is @TheRealKirstyG smuggling peanuts out of the @SkySportsNewsHQ studio? #nipples.”

During one of her reports, Rehan Ali joked: “I don’t think anyone cares about the England cricket squad.”

User Martin Perry suggested that viewing figures for Sky Sports News had mysteriously “gone through the roof”.

Gallacher was forced to upload a second picture of her outfit to further prove that the seams on her top were the cause of the problem.

One joker wrote that she had the “best looking darts on TV”, and another wished that their “wife’s darts looked as good as yours”.

It is not the first time the Scots presenter has been called up for her outfit choice.

In 2009, she won the award for “Most Embarassing Wardrobe Malfunction” at the Glamour awards in London.

Her decision to wear a sheer black dress backfired when camera flashes rendered it completely see-through, showing up her black thong and revealing that she had gone bra-less to the event.

The former Gladiators host also attended the Sony Radio Academy Awards wearing a £685 Preen dress which exposed her black bra.
