Street where cars come in any colour so long as it’s blue

THIS picture taken in a Scottish street provides overwhelming proof that blue has beaten silver to become the nation’s favourite car colour.

A glitch in the matrix?

The unsettling snap from Glasgow shows five small blue hatchbacks parked within metres of each other in Balvicar Drive, Queen’s Park, Glasgow.

And in a bizarre “glitch in the matrix” moment, all of them have similar hades of metallic blue.

The snap was taken by Mick Murphy, a scientist who also plays bass in a Clash tribute band.

He said: “When I looked out the rest of the street was almost empty of cars.”

He added: “This is the first time I have seen these cars all outside my home.”

The strange image comes hot on the heels of the news last summer that blue has overtaken silver as Brits’ favourite colour for their cars.

A survey of over 25,000 drivers revealed that 21% of drivers’ top pick for the colour of the next car was blue.

Silver came in close second with 19%, with black close behind on 18%.
