Nottingham Forest captain Chris Cohen insists the sky is the limit for Oliver Burke after the Scotland winger clinched a stunning £13 million move to RB Leipzig.

The 19-year-old became the most expensive Scottish player of all time after signing a five-year deal with the Bundesliga newcomers in a switch from the City Ground on Sunday.

Midfielder Cohen has watched the fleet-footed Burke, who had also been linked with Manchester United and Bayern Munich, flourish at Forest since making his debut in September 2014, and reckons the Kirkcaldy-born player is destined to play at the highest level.

oliverburkeCohen, speaking to the Nottingham Post, said: “I spoke about Oli after the Burnley game last season and said that he is as good a player as I have seen at his age.

“What he has done in the last year; the quality he has added to his game when it comes to his decision making, is impressive.

“He can go right, right to the top.He has still only played 20 or 30 games and he is getting better and better.

“He will go on to bigger and better things in the future. I am sure of that.”
