FORMER HEARTS favourite Osman Sow has landed another money-spinning switch after agreeing a move to the United Arab Emirates.
The towering Swedish striker has joined Emirates FC in the Gulf following a lucrative, but underwhelming, stint in the Chinese Superleague with Henan Jianye.
Playing alongside another former Jambo in Ryan McGowan, the Zhengzhou-based outfit could only register a 13th place finish last term, just three points above the relegation zone – and they have decided to cut their losses on Sow.
His transfer to the Middle-East continues a journeyman career for the 26-year-old, who has plied his trade in his homeland with Vasby United and Syrianska, in Moldova with Dacia Chisnau and had a spell with Crystal Palace.
Nevertheless he is fondly remembered from a prolific 18-months at Tynecastle.
Sow bagged 12 goals in 25 appearances for the Jambos as they marched to the Championship title during the 2014/15 campaign before scoring 11 times on their return to the top-flight.
That form caught the eye of Henan Jianye, who snapped up the player in a £1.1 million deal in January 2016 – despite Sow only having six months left to run on his contract.
