Kilmarnock manager Lee Clark is weighing up a move for former Peterborough striker Hakeem Araba as a replacement for Souleymane Coulibaly.

Araba, who has been playing for Swedish side Falkenberg, boosted his chances of landing a deal after scoring as a trialist in Tuesday’s 1-0 Development League victory over Hearts.

Premiership strugglers Kilmarnock are keen to bolster their attack after Coulibaly, who netted 11 goals in 26 appearances at Rugby Park, completed his £1 million switch to Egyptian side Al Ahly.

London-born Araba has experienced a nomadic career after coming through the youth system at Peterborough.

The 25-year-old has also turned out for Boston United, Dagenham & Redbridge, Bromley and Whitehawk and has had spells at Greek sides AEK Kouklia and Panthrakiko, as well as Cypriot outfit Ermis Aradippou.
