Hearts owner Ann Budge is hoping to raise money for the club’s new main stand – by auctioning off a holiday on her own luxury yacht.

A week-long vacation for six on the 18-metre vessel, which is appropriately named ‘Queen of Hearts’, is among the items that will go under the hammer at the club’s Player of the Year Awards this Sunday.

Hearts insist the prestigious lot has a value of £20,000 and have put a reserve on the lot.

And with the Gorgie club in the midst of building a new £12 million main stand, the proceeds will go towards the Tynecastle redevelopment fund.

Sailing around the Ionian Sea just off the Greek island of Corfu, the yacht comes with it’s own skipper and stewardess who will prepare breakfast and lunch or dinner each day.

Guests will be allowed to use the yacht’s ‘toys’, such as the Williams turbo-jet speed-boat and paddle boards, but the party will have to pay for their own flights to get to Corfu.

A description of the lot on the club’s website reads: “This is your chance to bid for the holiday of a lifetime on board Ann Budge’s luxury 18 metre Pearl motor yacht, complete with crew.

“Your party will sail to/from Corfu around the Ionian sea, visiting beautiful locations and hidden gems in the Greek Islands and being impeccably looked after throughout by Ann’s professional crew.

“The Queen of Hearts has 3 guest cabins (2 double with en suite and 1 twin), making it perfect for a small group of friends or a family of up to 6.”
