A BUSINESSMAN called Willie has found fame on the internet after plastering a very rude sign on his enormous…crane.
Construction firm owner Willie Telford came up with the slogan “Willie’s ma name, erecting’s my game” and put it on one of his 60ft cranes.
A snap of the message has gone viral after it was put online by amused passer-by Ross Scally in Drem, East Lothian.
The post has been retweeted over by 2000 times and received almost 6500 likes.
Speaking today (thu) about his talent for double entendres, firm owner Willie Telford said he couldn’t believe the reaction.
The 41 year-old from North Berwick said: “I just did for a bit of banter and craic.
“I run a grounds work business and I had the slogan ‘Willie’s ma name and digging’s ma game’ and I just got this crane a week ago so I thought I put this on for the banter.
“Everybody seems to be loving it and so far we’ve only received one bad comment. It’s a joke nothing more about it.
“I only got the crane last week, and even the sign writer couldn’t believe he was putting on it.”
As well as the message on the cab, the phrase “Willie’s Erections” is repeated three times along the boom of the crane.
Ross tweeted the snaps along with the caption: “Passed this crane on the way home from work”
