4 Reasons to Move to Nottingham to Study

Nottingham is one of the most popular student cities in the United Kingdom, largely due to its great universities and the choice of activities and things to do for students of all ages.

Whether you enjoy partying, eating, downtime, or all three, Nottingham will always give you something new to do throughout your study years.

Studying

Of course, you are coming to Nottingham to study and although there are so many other things to do, this must come first! Your university will offer a student library that is open 24/7, so if you’ve left your deadline until last minute, this is a great place to go at 4 AM. Nottingham has a central library that’s great for students to find books they can use without having to buy them.

There are a few local cafes that are great to hit the books if you want a change of scenery or just can’t stop procrastinating at home!

Shopping

Nottingham has many shops and a beautiful shopping mall (Intu Victoria Centre) where you can get lost in clothes for hours. Many of the shops inside offer student incentives and discounts and the centre even offers a Student Night where you can grab freebies, enter competitions, listen to live music and join in activities, all whilst getting great discounts in your favourite shops!

Nightlife

There are many student bars and clubs in Nottingham meaning no matter what night you fancy a party, there will be a club to hit afterwards that will be booming with like-minded party-goers. Das Kino is a totally unique bar located in Nottingham with a cool German cinema theme.

You can hire ping pong tables for something a little different than hitting the pool tables and it even has a retro style photo booth where you can get your first snaps as a new flat or home! Pit and Pendulum is a great club with a bit of a gothic vibe, and to find the toilets make sure you haven’t had too much to drink because they are hidden behind a secret bookcase (spoiler alert!).
