Row over teen’s “Jim Carrey” bowl haircut escalates into police matter

A BITTER online dispute about a teenager’s “Jim Carrey” bowl haircut has escalated into a police matter.
Aiden Bowness, from Carlisle, complained that he was left looking like Carrey’s character in the cult comedy Dumb and Dumber.
But staff at Brazuca Gentry Grooming hit back at the 17-year-old as the “ugliest man in Carlisle” and joked that customers should bring their own bowl to avoid mishaps.
That backfired horribly on owner Flamecia Santiago whose picture has been used to sign up to dating websites, resulting in 100 calls a day and her being sent porn videos.
Fed-up Flamecia says she has made a complaint to police in a bid to stop the torrent of filth.
Aiden Bowness, from Carlisle, complained that he was left looking like Carrey’s character in the cult comedy Dumb and Dumber.
The saga kicked off at the beginning of June when Aiden popped in to Brazuca for an £8 cut, and then took to Facebook to share the result.
His hilariously short fringe drew immediate comparisons to Jim Carrey’s Dumb and Dumber character and quickly went viral.
Afterwards, Flamecia blasted Aiden on her Facebook page and insisted that he was to blame for the cut, not her barber.
Flamecia wrote online: “After discussions with Jim Carrey and his team we have come to an amicable settlement.

“Not wishing to detract from his forthcoming Dumb and Dumber latest release but wishing to maximise the demand for the Brazuca Bowl cut – we are going to call it the ‘Stupid and Stupider Cut’.
“We are having the phones melt down with demand and we need someone to speak Korean such is the interest in this cut from all.”
She added: “Book early to avoid disappointment and don’t worry if we can’t speak English we are only using a bowl  – so no skill required.
“P.s. bring your own bowl to ensure your barber understands exactly what bowl cut you want as mistakes can happen and it’s not the bowl’s fault.
In one of the comments under the post, which has since been removed, barber Ricardo Francischetti told Aiden: “We did a test of your cut on our clients. Unfortunately no one has managed to get any more ugly than you. Come to Brazuca to win your trophy of the ugliest person from Carlisle.”
Aiden himself chimed in underneath the post, writing: “It’s alright I’ll get the last laugh, very unprofessional. It’s funny how pathetic they are being over a bad review.”
Flamecia revealed today that she is paying the price of trolling Aiden after pictures of her were used to create bogus online dating profiles.
One, on Locanto, describes Flamecia as a “mature Brazillian woman” looking for a man, and asks for pictures to be sent to “get my attention” alongside her mobile number.
She said: “It is now very serious, after this I have had people use my picture and phone number and make profiles on dating sites.

“I’ve been sent pornographic videos and I’ve been getting 100 calls a day, asking me if I will give a b*** j** or do other things.”
“I don’t care about Aiden’s haircut. This is too far, it is upsetting. I have reported it to police. I have had threats about burning my business down.”
“We did not cut his hair like that. Maybe the post was a bit mean, but I have a sense of humour and I thought other people did too. I was clearly wrong.”
Online, Flamecia faced criticism for her post.
Danielle Nic said: “Fancy being that cheeky to a kid. Disgusting behaviour from adults.”
Clair Edgar accused her of being “so unprofessional” while Alice Kean claimed she was “embarrassing”.

Jamie Kirk joked: “Sooner someone takes away your wifi router and scissors the better.”
