Writer, broadcaster and artist Byron Vincent attempted suicide whilst trying to make a show about happiness.

In 2015, he and his best mate Dave decided to try and solve the puzzle of how to be happy.

Co-writer and performer, Dave McGinn said: “The suicide attempt entirely derailed the project. The irony wasn’t lost on us.”

What started of as a quest to heal a mental illness then became an exploration of friendship, acceptance and toxic masculinity.

Live Before You Die is the true story of their travels around the world meeting leading experts in science, psychology and philosophy in an attempt to help Bryon overcome his condition.

The show promises to be funny, tragic and shockingly honest.

Byron and Dave met in the nineties when they both DJ’d and promoted music events in the North West.

Since then, Byron has gone on to become a successful poet and performance artist, named as one of the BBC’s New Talent Choices, writing for the BBC and RSC, appearing on Channel 4 and fronting several Radio 4 documentaries.
