Remarkable image shows Hurricane Florence is just one of nine huge storms raging on planet

A REMARKABLE image shows that Hurricane Florence is just one of nine deadly storms currently battering the globe.

Posted on Twitter by Jamaica Weather, the satellite photograph shows a string of massive storms girdling the planet.

Jamaica Weather, a weather and tech news site, posted: “This going to be a crazy end to the week! Take a look across the Tropics.”

Each storm seen on the the image has been circled and identified with a name.

Nine tropical storms are recorded in one day

Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Isaac are seen circling in the Atlantic Ocean while storm 95L are on course for the Caribbean.

In the Eastern Pacific, Hurricane Olivia is approaching Hawaii as Tropical Storm Paul approaches the West coast of Mexico.

Whilst storm 91W, Typhoon Mangkhut and storm 27W look set to batter South East Aisia as they line up in the Western Pacific.

On social media, Jessica Turner wrote: “Climate change isn’t real!! In my orange haired man voice with a small vocabulary.”

The image is unprecedented and has many in shock

Zpine wrote: “Prepare, brace, and pray, ain’t nothing else that we can do!”

Marcus Edwards added: “It’s going to get worse before it can get better unfortunately.

“Until people see the destruction affecting them they won’t do anything about it. Hopefully it won’t be too late.”

Grace Beasley said: “I’m currently in the Philippines and the country is making huge preparations for typhoon Mangkhut, which has already caused devastation to Guam.”

Melanie Ann Alexander stated: “Mother Nature is trying like hell to get us back into balance.”

Some believe this is a wake-up call to climate change

Mangkhut is expected to cause $250 million worth of damage to the Phillipines with rice and corn crops bearing the brunt of the storm.

It is also expected to hit Hong Kong and Macau on its current trajectory through the Western Pacific.

Residents of North and South Caroline are fleeing there homes as the biggest of them all, Hurricane Florence, approaches the Eastern seaboard.

Florence has been given category four level strength which causes major structural damage and is heading towards North and South Carolina.

Hurricane Florence is expected to hit the U.S. later this week

Officials have warned of a chance of ‘life-threatening inundation from rising water’ as Florence is due to hit land on Friday.

According to the National Oceanic Atmospheric Adiministration Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria caused over $245 billion in damage throughout the United States in 2017.

According to the National Hurricane Centre there was five major hurricanes last year compared to just two in 2015.

Over the past 23 years there have been 15 above normal hurricane seasons, the worst on record.
