Preview of the Hearts v Aberdeen Fixture

Whilst this Scottish Premiership fixture doesn’t play a key role in deciding the outcome of the league championship, it’s still an important one with regards to European qualification for next season.

On top of that, you must consider the Scottish Premiership punters. When reviewing the available 2019 Scottish Premiership betting offers from the leading bookmakers, perhaps you want to evaluate the chances of your team winning. You also want to understand the potential changes that may occur before the game and how they may impact the final score.

Hearts of Midlothian’s Performance

After a strong start to the season, Hearts struggled pre-Christmas, due to an extensive injury list. Whilst results improved somewhat in January and February, injuries to Naismith and other important players may impact on the end of season form. Although they are currently in fifth spot for the Scottish Premiership, a Euro spot for next season and an appearance in the Scottish cup final is what Hearts should be aiming for.

With a victory on the 30th against Aberdeen, the potential gap between the two teams would be reduced to one point. With Kilmarnock also in the mix for the third spot in the table, the three teams really are within a few points of each other, making the last couple of months of the season an interesting one.

Aberdeen’s Performance

Once again, Derek McInnes and Aberdeen are excelling this season. After losing a number of their better players from last season, McInnes recruited highly effectively during the close season. A difficult start to the season resulted in early pressure mounting from the terraces; however, after a successful run of results, an appearance in the Scottish League cup final and now a place in the Scottish cup semi-final, things have picked up. With all that in mind though, a defeat against Hearts will put pressure on Aberdeen during the run-in.

With Sam Cosgrove performances in previous games throughout the season a real high point for Aberdeen, it is likely the team could put Rangers under pressure for second spot. As things stand, Sam Cosgrove is the second top goal scorer this season, but would take a remarkable effort to oust Alfredo Morelos from top spot.

Potential of the Hearts vs. Aberdeen Fixture

With the fixture split fast approaching, expectations are running high for this upcoming fixture. Whilst both teams will not be winning the league title, they both still have a lot to play for and supporters’ expectations will still be huge.

Aberdeen’s recent away form has been impressive. A draw at Celtic Park and a victory at Ibrox will help team morale and build momentum too. Add in the injury list within the Hearts camp and most neutrals would probably opt for an away win. However, nothing can be taken for granted when Hearts play at Tynecastle. Oliver Lee is in decent form and with the experience of Craig Levine in the dugout, Hearts are always a tough team to overcome at home.

The odds favor Aberdeen to win on March 30, but it would not be surprising if Hearts pulled out an unexpected victory. We recommend that you keep up to-date with any changes to the odds before the match, as well as any squad changes due to injuries or suspensions.

It is not clear which team will have the advantage when they take to the field and start their match on March 30, but you can expect an exciting and interesting game as both teams strive for a higher position in the Scottish Premiership.
