Most exciting games of the season as Celtic run away with another Scottish Premiership title

For much of the season it appeared it was going to be a close duel for the title between Celtic and Rangers, as Gerrard looked to be getting instant success out of his squad. However, Celtic have really risen to the task and are running away with the Premiership title. They have all but secured the trophy in what will be the clubs 50th top tier title and eighth in succession. It is no surprise as they were a short price to do so, and were a popular choice for punters using the offer from Ladbrokes. This has all led to a very exciting season for spectators, with a number of incredible games of football. We countdown a number of the impressive performances from the current Scottish Premiership season.

Celtic 5-0 Hearts

Matchday 12 – 03/11/18

As mentioned previous Celtic have all but sealed another title success and have put in a number of impressive performances over the current season. One of the key ones has to be the 5-0 rout over Hearts at the beginning of November. This included a number of players playing a starring role for the side. Odsonne Edouard picked up a brace in the first half earning him the man of the match. Benkovic, Forrest and Ryan Christie also got on the score sheet in one of the most dominating displays from any side over the season. This was all the more impressive considering Hearts topped the table at the time.

Rangers 7-1 Motherwell

Matchday 13 – 11/11/18

Another hugely impressive performance of the current season as Rangers outclassed Motherwell to win 7-1 back in November. Rangers created a lot of chances over the 90 minutes and were very clinical throughout. They were aided due to the fact the away side picked up a first half red card, but it still doesn’t detract from the impressive Rangers performance. Five different players got on the score sheet as both Scott Arfield and Eros Grezda picked up braces.

Kilmarnock 5-0 Hamilton

Matchday 31 – 30/03/2019

A recent victory for Kilmarnock and yet another of a hugely successful season for them as they look likely to finish in a much deserved third spot. This was an authoritative display from start to finish as they reduced the away side to just one shot on target. Kilmarnock also had a vastly superior possession statistic at 65%, in what was one of the most dominating performance from any side in the current Scottish top flight. Five different players got on the scoresheet including an early strike from Greg Taylor, before Mikael Ndjoli sealed the 5-0 route in injury time.
