Mum’s clever Halloween hack delivers £100 costume for just £13

A MUM has revealed how her clever Halloween costume hack saved her £87.

Video shows Samuel Wiggins dancing in his homemade skeleton costume which was made from glued-on glow sticks for £13.

Mum Victoria said a similar illuminated costume she saw on sale would have set her back £100.

The 36-year-old from Malpas, Cheshire, saved her bank account from getting a fright by purposing black leggings and a T-shirt and spending £3 on glow sticks from B&M.

The outfit was finished off with a £10 LED mask she bought on eBay.

Video shows Samuel showing off his impressive moves in the light up costume, whilst dancing along to Big Shaq’s “The Ting go Skrra”.

A delighted Victoria took to Facebook to share her creativity.

She posted the clip with the caption: “Halloween costume was a winner (Watch the video with sounds on.)

“Black Leggings and t-shirt (already had) pack of glow sticks £2.99 in B&M, mask £10 off ebay.

“Glue gun and tape.”

Fellow social media users were blown away by Victoria’s efforts.

One user commented: “Excellent this is fab.”

Victorias post has now clocked up over 9,000 likes.

Another added: “This is actually pretty bloody amazing.”

And one woman said: “That’s really good.”

Speaking today, Victoria said: “I had seen a post on my Facebook of an LED stick man onesie, but it was so expensive.

“I think it was about £100 so I got creative.

“Samuel loves acting and dancing. He said his friends really liked it and people were asking how he made it.

“I intend to take the glow sticks off and reapply for Halloween, I may try a different colour.

“I honestly didn’t expect the response I had. The post has had over 9 thousand likes since last night. So many people have commented and shared.”
