Loch Ness

When we talk about Lock Ness the first thing that pops up in our minds is the legendary monster that lives in the lake. Loch Ness is one of the largest water bodies in Scotland that connects the eastern and western coasts. Loch Ness joins with three other lochs and you can cruise through this vast water body from one end to the other. The scenic beauty of the landscape around is mesmerising.

Isle of Skye

Isle of Skye is the largest of Scotland’s inner isles and is a big attraction for nature lovers. The place has a wild beauty of lush green valleys, caves and waterfalls. There are oak forests which are filled with hundreds of species of birds and wildlife. A bridge connects the isle to the mainland. This area also has the oldest cemetery of Scotland which includes the grave of Macbeth and other kings. This place has come to the limelight in the recent times as experts say that they have discovered dinosaur stomping ground here.

Fort William & Ben Nevis

Ben Nevis is Britain’s tallest mountain and can be viewed best from Fort Williams. The fort has a collection of paintings and weaponry. Ben Navis is famous among hikers and offers a spectacular view. A major attraction here is the Jacobite steam train, which has become popular due to the Harry Potter movie franchise.

This castle is one of the Renaissance buildings in UK and has been preserved for centuries. Some parts of the castle still have the old construction while other parts like the hall and a few rooms had to be restored. The famous battle of Bannockburn took place in Stirling and the place attracts many historians and explorers. There is a heritage centre which displays the artefacts of the previous era.
