Cops issue fine to driver who spray painted their rear lights matte black

POLICE have handed out a fixed penalty ticket to a driver who had spray painted his rear lights black – making them invisible in the night to drivers.

Cops from Northern Ireland’s Road Policing unit pulled over the dopey Corsa driver yesterday in Belfast after spotting the black painted lights.

Images taken by police on the scene show how the matte black paint is actually given off as a reflection as opposed to letting light travel through the glass.

The officer who took the picture can even be seen in the reflection of the blacked out rear light.

Officers issued a fine to the driver after they spotted the dodgy paint job and posted pictures of their findings onto Facebook.

Queens Road in Belfast where the dopey driver was pulled over.

They said: “This driver thought it was a good idea to spray his rear light lenses black.

“Thus rendering his brake lights, tail lights and indicators invisible to other road users.

“Fixed penalty ticket issued for using a vehicle in a dangerous condition and prohibition placed on the vehicle.”

Since the policing unit shared images of the Corsa yesterday , social media users have slammed the driver.

Social media users could not believe the stupidity of the driver.

Christine Mcmath said: “What a plonker as Del Boy would say.”

Howard Hunt posted: “We have bred a nation of halfwits!!”

Paul Richmond commented: “Must be on stupid pills.”
