The 22-year-old – who boasts over 276,000 followers of his comedy videos – claims he awoke last month with no feeling in his legs.

He was soon rushed to hospital where he was placed into an induced coma for three days and left temporarily paralysed.

Video shared from Louie’s account shows the star lying in a hospital bed as his mum explains the shocking reason behind her son’s sudden disappearance from social media.

Louie can be seen clad in a hospital gown and hooked up to hospital machines as he lies with his eyes closed.

The worried mum explains: “Hi guys. This is Louie’s mum. Obviously, people have noticed that Louie’s not been posting on Instagram or TikTok.

“On 18th March, Louie was unwell at home and woke up and he couldn’t move his legs.”

Louie’s eyes can be seen opening as he weakly attempts to speak to his mum, but with no sound coming from his mouth as he struggles to keep his eyes open.

The mum continues: “He was rushed to King’s Hospital, where he was actually put into an induced coma on a ventilator for three days and paralysed.”

The camera pans to Louie’s legs which are bundled under the hospital sheets, whilst his feet can be seen sticking out from the bottom.

She pans the camera back to Louie as she says: “Do you want to say hello to everybody on TikTok, Louie?”

Louie can be seen nodding his head as he mouths, “Hi” to his fans.

The mum then takes over again as she addresses his fans: “So, he really needs a lot of support from you all at the minute and I know how much he really loves you, all his fans.

“He’s been unable to do his posting because he was really looking forward to posting more.

“He had a lot more ideas to bring to his TikTok and his comedy that he loves doing.”

Louie’s eyes bat open again as he listens to his mother who adds: “It’s going to be a long road. He’s currently in critical care at the minute but he’s doing well.”

She pans the camera to the equipment and heart monitor to the right of Louie’s bed, and then over to Louie’s auntie at his bedside who explains that he has now regained mobility in his legs.

Louie moves his feet as his mum reiterates: “If we could get this around TikTok to give Louie lots of love and support and I’d really appreciate that on this video, guys.”

She concludes as Louie watches on: “Thank you so much all the love and support that you’ve always given Louie over the years and I know that he’s been missing doing his TikToks so much.”

The camera then pans over to Louie as he appears to mouth, “Bye guys”.

Louie’s mum took to social media last night to share the heartbreaking news.

The video received more than 183,000 likes and over 3,700 comments from fans sharing their overwhelming support for the young star.

One person wrote: “Aw, Louie. Having a stroke so young is beyond sad. Sending you my love, stay strong.”

Another said: “I’m so upset. I absolutely love you, Louie. I’m so sorry this had to happen to you.”

A third commented: “This is so sad. How quickly things turn bad. Hope he gets well soon.”

A fourth added: “Thank God he’s doing well. I’m so sorry you all and Louie had to go through this.

“Can’t even imagine, as a parent, how you feel. You’ve got this, Louie. Wishing you a speedy recovery.”
