Students in Edinburgh take part in another UK-wide protest over UK Government plans to increase the maximum tuition fees and cut funding for higher education.

Students marched through the city as part of the Scottish National Day of Action.

The protesters are among thousands of others gathering in other UK cities, including London, Manchester and Birmingham.

Scottish students started their march at Bristo Square, then on to Holyrood where there were speeches, snowballs were thrown at the building and police. They then headed to Dynamic Earth where they believed Nick Clegg to be.

Some of the students ran in to Dynamic Earth intending to have a sit in protest, Police soon removed the few and locked the doors.
