IT IS the sort of thing that normally happens to two-year-olds but a young woman’s trip to Tesco ended with her head firmly stuck in a trolley.

The YouTube clip, filmed at an Edinburgh store, shows the bashful blonde with her head wedged between the thin metal bars.

While shoppers and staff try to prise her free, one worker appears to carry on their duties by dumping an empty cardboard box in the trolley.

The woman whimpers slightly as friends laugh in the background and one onlooker suggests: “Somebody go and buy some olive oil or something!”

There is no explanation for how the girl got her head stuck in the trolley, a situation more often familiar to parents with young children.

But before the fire brigade have to be called out, a strong friend manages to bend the bars just enough for the woman to get free, prompting cheers from onlookers.

The video – called “Souvenir from visiting Tesco Edinburgh” – has been viewed more than 3,200 times.
