Did Voldemort appear in the northern lights?

DID the face of Lord Voldemort, the evil wizard from Harry Potter, appear in the Northern Lights above Scotland?

A welder and keen amateur photographer from Alness, north of Inverness, joined thousands of snappers on Tuesday night as nature put on a spectacular show.

Richard Henderson took dozens of snaps that night but one in particular has caused a stir.

The image features a downturned mouth, strong nose and deep-set, burning eyes – and most people think it bears a striking resemblance to Lord Voldemort.

Richard, 30, who took the picture from Struie Viewpoint, overlooking the Dornoch Firth, said: “Some people were saying they could see Voldemort and others a storm trooper.”

Other suggestions include Jesus and Thor, the Norse god of thunder.

Commenting on Facebook Lewis MacKenzie asked: “Voldemort?, Stormtrooper?”

Before adding: “Well perhaps a bit more like a clone trooper helmet from the prequel trilogy!”

Another shot from the same point on the same night.

While Dafi Smith said: “I see a face on the right, staring straight at me.”

And Andy Myers insisted: “It’s Jesus!”

Ironically, down-to-earth Richard insisted: “I can’t see a face in it. I don’t have a clue what people are seeing.

“I hadn’t a clue what was going on until I posted it.”
