Inverness manager John Hughes faces an anxious wait to discover if he is to be punished by the Scottish FA over comments about a referee after his hearing was postponed for a second time.

The case was initially due to be heard at Hampden on October 1 and after today’s scheduled meeting was also rearranged, Hughes is now set to learn his fate on November 5.

Hughes’ questioned official Andrew Dallas’ ability to handle Premiership matches in the wake of Caley’s 1-1 draw at Dundee on August 29.

SFA compliance officer Tony McGlennan issued Hughes with a Notice of Complaint over an alleged breach of Rule 72, ‘indicating incompetence’.

After the Dens Park clash, Hughes was quoted as saying: “What I will say is that I don’t think the referee is ready for the top-flight. He might be one day but not on this evidence.”
