First Minister praised for witty Twitter response

FIRST MINISTER Nicola Sturgeon has drawn praise online for her sense of humour after a Twitter user suggested she’d demand a rematch of the England vs Scotland game.

Sturgeon shared a tweet from Ryan McManus which suggested she would want a re-run of the match in similar fashion to calls for IndyRef2.

The tweet read: “BREAKING: @NicolaSturgeon seeks #ENGVSCO rematch as the result isn’t to her liking. Thinking about an autumn 2018 decider. #RBS6Nations.”

However, Sturgeon took the post in good jest and shared it before asking: “Who leaked this?”
Her quip drew praise from fellow Twitter users.

Jamie wrote: “You must be the coolest FM ever!”

Ryan McManus himself replied: Fantastic craic, good on you!”

Kensington Grove wrote: “Lol, nice one Nicola.”

Whilst Stephen Harley added: “Fair play, that’s a great response.”

Scotland lost 61-21 at Twickenham to England in a result that secured a second Six Nations title in a row for the English.
