THIS is the moment a driver attempted to stop a lorry after noticing that its wheels looked to be seconds away from falling off.

The Topps Tiles lorry appears to have been on Great West Road in Hounslow, London last week when fellow motorists tried to flag it down after spotting its rear wheels shaking violently.

Desperately beeping his horn, one road user attempted to alert the lorry driver, who appeared to be none the wiser to their HGV’s precarious situation

Footage shows a driver and a passenger giving chase to the lorry as a man can be heard shouting at the seemingly oblivious driver ahead: “What the f**k are you doing?”

On-screen text reads: “The unedited footage, the noise [sic] and the wheel looks like it’s going to fall off.

“Listen to that wheel. What the f**k. Car driver was attempting to get the lorry to stop before an accident happens.”

In the left lane, the Topps Tiles lorry can be seen shaking side to side as the driver ploughs on down the road.

The car gets closer, revealing that the two rearmost wheels of the ten-wheeler are wobbling violently and look to be dangerously close to coming off altogether.

Other cars can be seen driving slowly, cautiously trying to avoid the dangerous lorry.

A loud rumbling can be heard coming from the lorry as the car driver says: “Is this guy having a laugh?”

The back of the lorry can be seen swinging back and forth due to the shaky wheels as the driver behind the camera comments: “Bruv (sic), that’s dangerous.”

The passenger then remarks: “He needs to pull that s**t over, bruv (sic), before you mash up people’s cars and f***ing hurt people.”

The motorist then opts to try and warn the driver of the situation, speeding up to match the lorry’s speed – even seemingly running a red light.

The noise from the lorry seems to get louder and the shaking more violent as the car driver honks his horn repeatedly.

The lorry does not slow down however, and the back wheels can be seen shaking viciously as the entire back of the vehicle is pulled side to side.

The shocking footage was posted on social media last week by social media user The Only Governor, who wrote in the caption: “Crazy. Why would you keep driving and risking it. Just why? […]”

The post received over 32,600 likes and more than 2,300 comments as many were left horrified at the frightening incident.

One person wrote: “I’m a truck driver. I don’t know how he can’t feel that in the cab? It looks like a rear steering problem.”

Another said: “Did you manage to get him to pull over? Ignore the red light Karens. You clearly did it safely and trying to stop a serious accident with a massive vehicle.”

A third commented: “That has to be classed as dangerous driving.”

A fourth added: “He either has air pressure problems or forgot to connect his air hose – none of those trailer wheels are turning while he’s driving, meaning the brakes are on, which would happen if it has no air.”

Topps Tiles has been approached for comment.
