Homeowner hospitalised after driver fleeing police ploughs motor right through his living room wall

A HOMEOWNER has been hospitalised after a dangerous driver ploughed his motor right through the living room wall.

Mohammed Ansae Ali’s house on Chipperfield Road in Birmingham, West Midlands on Monday was left in disarray when the motor hurtled into it.

The BMW was being pursued by police when its unnamed driver seemingly opted to ditch his car in the wall of the home before fleeing on foot.

Mohammed was subsequently rushed to hospital to be assessed whilst the driver and his accomplice remain at large.

The homeowner was hospitalised with minor injuries.

CCTV camera footage shows the moment the driver speeds his silver motor straight through the junction towards the house.

The driver luckily avoids cars on the main road but flies across the street towards the driveway of Mohammed’s house where two cars are parked.

The speeding motorist slams into Mohammed’s boundary wall, destroying a fence post and throwing his car into the air.

The man’s BMW flies across Ansar’s driveway, narrowly missing the two cars parked there, and smashes into the front of his house.

The BMW comes to a rest with its back wheels in the air and its front lodged into Mohammed’s house.

Footage then shows someone emerge from the vehicle, miraculously unharmed, clambering from the wreckage of his car.

The man appears to check the back of the vehicle quickly before turning tail and running off down the street.

Another man then clambers from where the car struck the house and runs off in the opposite direction, tripping as he does so but quickly regaining his footing.

The footage continues to escalate as the first bloke comes running back into the frame to follow his friend.

A police car soon appears from the same direction as the BMW first appeared from, with its lights flashing, and takes off in pursuit of the two men.

A police officer and several nearby workmen then rush to the scene of the crash to aid the occupants of the house.

Mohammed suffered unspecified injuries as a result of the crash and was taken to hospital for assessment.

Video of the dramatic crash was shared to social media on Tuesday with the caption: “Mohammed Ansar Ali has provided the footage of the car crashing into his lounge following a police chase.

“Unfortunately Mohammed was injured as a result of the car ploughing into his property.

“Thank you to the emergency services who were quick on the scene to support Mohammed.”

The footage has received dozens of likes and comments from users on social media who wished Mohammed well.

One user said: “Shocking.”

Another added: “That is just crazy.”

A third commented: “Every day. All over the city. Death, injury and destruction. Vision Zero can’t come soon enough.”

Another wrote: “And yet paint and plastic poles are supposed to make cycling and walking safe.”

West Midlands Police have since launched an appeal for information with a spokesperson today saying: “Recognise these men?

“We want to speak to them after a car hit a house on Chipperfield Road, Bromford on Monday.
