Celtic midfielder Tom Rogic’s form has been hailed as ‘outstanding’ by Australia manager Ange Postecoglou, and has been backed to hit the goals trail.
Rogic drew a blank as the Socceroos were held to a 2-2 World Cup qualifying draw in Saudi Arabia, the 23-year-old playing for 85 minutes of that match.
The Hoops player has already notched six goals for his club this season and Postecoglou believes Rogic will soon be contributing in the final third for his national team, with
Australia back in action in Tuesday’s Group B clash against Japan in Melbourne.
“The pleasing thing for us is that we’ve got multiple avenues and we know where our goals are coming from because we work on it.
“Aaron Mooy has hit the crossbar twice in the first three games, he’s been unlucky but he’s got goals in him.”
