The Volunteer Work Dr. Calvin Hirsch Has Completed

Dr. Calvin Hirsch has had a long and successful career working as a physician and a professor of medicine at U.C. Davis. He is blessed to help people day in and day out as part of his job. He has helped people in the community get the medical care they need and has helped teach students, who in turn are directly helping individuals within the community. In addition to helping as part of his career, Dr. Calvin Hirsch has completed volunteer work and has donated money and resources to help causes that are near and dear to him. Here are some of the causes he has contributed toward.

Dr. Calvin Hirsch Enjoys Donating to Environmental Groups

Dr. Calvin Hirsch knows that humans have a major impact on the environment. And the decisions that we all make affect the resources and the type of world that will be left for our children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. This is why Dr. Hirsch donates to environmental groups that he believes in. A couple of his favorites to donate to include the Natural Resources Defense Council and the Environmental Defense Fund. If everyone does their part, we can all come together and help the environment.

Dr. Calvin Hirsch Gives Back to Philanthropic Organizations

Dr. Calvin Hirsch says another cause that is near and dear to him is philanthropic organizations. This is a given based on the type of work he does. He is compassionate about people, and he feels that people, regardless of their financial means, all deserve basic human necessities. A few of the philanthropic organizations that Dr. Hirsch regularly contributes to include the Yolo Food Bank and Doctors Without Borders. The Yolo Food Bank helps to distribute food directly to the community that has supported Dr. Hirsch and has recognized him as a top doctor for years.

Dr. Calvin Hirsch Has Volunteered His Time at Free Clinics

Dr. Calvin Hirsch explains that the final type of volunteer work that he has completed is volunteering at free clinics within the local community. Most recently, he has supervised volunteer U.C. Davis medical students as they spent their time at free clinics. Free clinics are so important to the community as they help those without health insurance get the medical care and attention that they need and should be entitled to.

Dr. Calvin Hirsch explains that working as a doctor and a medical professor takes up a lot of his time. Unfortunately, this means that he does not have the time to volunteer as often and as frequently as he would like. However, he does try to do what he can and contribute in other ways, such as financially, to help support the causes and organizations that are important to him. He encourages everyone to volunteer or support the causes that are near to them.
