Mark Wright – Excelling Among a Sea of Digital Marketing Platforms & Businesses

In the last few decades, the world has witnessed a rise of digital platforms in various industries such as e-commerce, with Amazon and Alibaba leading the west and east hemispheres, social media, with Facebook and WeChat leading the west and east hemispheres, and computing with Microsoft Azure, Amazon’s AWS, Google Cloud, IBM Cloud, Oracle Cloud, and Alibaba Cloud as the most well-known industry examples. This rapid rise in digital transformation has provided businesses with new and exponential growth opportunities.

The rise of digital platforms is becoming an innovative trend that has been widely acknowledged by global corporations. However, digital platforms are being rapidly adopted in other industries such as banking, financial services, and insurance “BFSI” or global energy commodities trading. The tools used to create digital platforms can vary from a website, a registration service, a contact database, payment processors, to a shop, or a news feed. The selection of such tools depends on the business, and their purpose is to improve the user experience. Intending to bring a unique style to online marketing and to enhance customers’ experiences, an individual named Mark Wright entered the fold of digital marketing.

Mark, who was born in Australia, started his career as a sales manager for a large marketing agency,  then went on to found and develop his own businesses has repeatedly been recognized for his company’s high revenue growth and success. He has over nine years of sales experience in the digital, health, and fitness industries, but his first job was washing cars at his father’s business. Beating all the odds, Wright appeared in BBC’s Apprentice Series 10 in 2014, he then advanced to the show’s finale, where he competed against Bianca Miller for a £250,000 business investment from Lord Sugar. It was his unique approach to online marketing for business development that made him the winner of BBC Apprentice 2014.

Following his success on the show, Mark formed a partnership with Lord Sugar and founded and developed Climb Online, one of the UK’s fastest-growing digital marketing agencies. In its first year of operation, the company made a staggering £1.7 million, securing contracts with over 200 customers from the UK and abroad.

Wright also began a digital advertising course in collaboration with E-Careers Limited in 2016. The goal of Climb Academy Level 1: Introduction to Digital Marketing is to educate the general public, teach them how to manage simple campaigns, and facilitate the next generation by providing them with access to digital marketing skills.

Climb Online is renowned for its disruptive approach to digital marketing, working with household brands to scale growth and generate profit. It is the most successful business founded by an Apprentice winner to date. Wright’s experience in establishing and growing a multi-million-pound-turnover digital empire has led him to seek out and invest in additional businesses such as property investment, web development, and public relations sectors, where he has dedicated his time to implementing strategies that have replicated admirable levels of success. Undoubtedly, Climb Online proved to be a huge success. Wright founded the digital marketing agency and grew it to a team of 130 people. Their company also worked with some of the world’s largest corporations, including Emirates and TikTok.

In June 2019, Wright launched his own annual UK business conference, CLIMBCON, which welcomed hundreds of business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs to learn from proven business leaders such as Lord Sugar and Piers Morgan.

Other than his business ventures, Wright contributes articles and opinions to a variety of publications, including small businesses, startups, and BM magazine. He has also been a keynote speaker at conferences such as the 10X UK conference, The Business Show, Introbiz, Event Buyers Live, Digital Print for Brand Success Conference, and Business Revival Series, among others.

Wright’s proven skill and capability in business have earned him credentials as an ambitious influencer on lead generation, profitability, and growth, and his journey to success has inspired entrepreneurs globally, who regularly attend his public speaking engagements and motivational talks both in the UK and abroad.

It was Wright’s continuous determination that reserved his name in the Forbes 30 under 30 list (Europe) in January 2017 for his impact on and dedication to the business sector, and he has since won a slew of business accolades, including Entrepreneur’s Team of the Year at 2018, Great British Entrepreneur Awards, and Entrepreneur of the Year at the 2018 UK Business Awards.
