The 24-year-old was driving on the A7 near Galashiels when the accident happened.

In a short statement issued through Lothian and Borders Police, his family said: “Graham would have been 25 years old in March and was a much loved caring son and brother.

“He loved music and working out daily and was a dedicated worker.

“He had applied to three universities this year and had long term plans to join the army and was looking forward to the future.

“We will miss our special son dearly.”
