Shocking video shows moment Scots mum comes face to face with wild boars during holiday in Turkey

A SHOCKING video shows the moment a Scots woman comes face to face with several wild boars raking through bins in the streets.

TikTok user Natalie from Glasgow had been out with her family enjoying a late summer holiday in Marmaris, Turkey when she had the run-in with the animals.

The mum had been walking back to her hotel after enjoying some cocktails last week when she decided to let her inner David Attenborough free.

Natalie was left in stitches by the actions of the boars and began filming the animals, unaware of the dangers.

The clip begins with Natalie standing beside a line of parked cars next to a cobbled wall in the streets of Marmaris.

Two large boars can be seen feasting into rubbish which is being strewn across the street by the hungry animals.

Another two boars come into shot as Natalie begins to describe what is unfolding in front of her, saying: “Check this guys from Glasgow, there’s actual big b*d boars raiding the bins in Turkey.

“This is not cats, this is f*****g big b*****d animals. They’re f*****g boars, whatever they are.”

Various items of food can be seen on the street including banana peels, papers bags and loaves of bread as a stunned Natalie continues to film the feast.

Providing some Scots commentary, Natalie remarks: “Look at them, they’re team handed, I’m absolutely terrified to f******g even video them in case they do me in, they’re massive.”

As Natalie finishes her remark one of the boars spins towards the Glaswegian mum who quickly shouts out: “Get to f**k.”

The boar speedily hurries off with a bagel in its mouth off towards a dark street behind Natalie as two of the other boars follow the leader.

However, one boar appears not to have had their fill and continues their feast heading back to pick up some more leftovers.

This leaves Natalie chuckling as she singles out the boar remarking: “You’re gallus, you’re from Govan.”

Natalie took to social media on Monday to share the amusing clip,

The post received 41,500 likes and comments as many were left in stitches by the footage.

One person wrote: “Eat your heart out, David Attenborough.”

Speaking to Natalie today, she said: “I found them grazing from the bins in Marmaris, Turkey last week on the Tuesday night, which was the 12th.

“I had no idea just how dangerous these animals were. I had a few cocktails, hence the running Glaswegian commentary.”

Wild boars are a common sighting in Turkey, with many tourists claiming to have spotted the scavengers while holidaying in the country.

It is thought that the increasing number of sightings is in part due to huge construction projects being carried out in nearby forests meaning many wild boars are forced to hunt for food in towns and cities.
