Scots singer and TikTok star Nathan Evans races back from Berlin for birth of first son

SCOTS singer Nathan Evans has revealed how he had to dramatically rush away from filming a music video in Germany this weekend – to make it to the birth of his baby.

The TikTok star, who found fame in 2020 with his covers of classic sea shanties, was filming his latest music video on top of the Universal building in the middle of Berlin when his phone began buzzing.

As the 28-year-old took a break from filming, he checked his phone to see a four word text from pregnant partner Holly reading: “My waters have broke.”

The musician from Airdrie, North Lanarkshire quickly called time on the shoot and raced back home facing 32 hours of no sleep and constant travelling to get back to Holly’s side ahead of the birth.

Nathan shared the dramatic couple of days on social media last week (SUN) writing: “So, story time.

“As some of you would have seen, I’ve been in London this past week and then headed straight to Berlin for the weekend where I was filming a certain little music video.

“The plan was to shoot for two days and then head home on Monday night to spend the rest of Holly’s pregnancy with her at home getting everything ready for the little man coming but sometimes life throws you a little curve ball to keep you on your toes.

“8pm, Saturday night, while I’m on the rooftop of the Universal building in the middle of Berlin, my phone starts going absolutely nuts, so after shooting our take I grab my phone to see what all the commotion is about.

“There it is, the curveball, a text from Holly saying nothing but ‘my waters have broke’.

“It’s safe to assume my a**e completely caved in.

“It’s been 32 hours of no sleep, constantly on the move and trying to get home and make sure that I didn’t miss anything, and thank god I can say that I’ve made it in time.

“There’s not long left now, he should be welcomed into this world at any point in the next wee while, but I can’t believe I’ve actually made it.

“I’ve had to cut the shoot short and sacrifice some beloved beauty sleep, but I’d have ran it home to make sure I was here in time.

“Holly and the little man are absolutely right as rain, now it’s just a waiting game.

“I will keep you all updated and speak to you all very soon when I can officially call myself Daddy Evans.”

The post received over 7,000 likes from excited fans with hundreds of social media users quick to comment their congratulations.
