Brit bloke left shocked after receiving bright green nuclear naan bread in Indian takeaway

A BRIT was left shocked after receiving a nuclear-coloured naan bread in a meal from his local Indian.

The anonymous customer received the side dish in his order from the takeaway on Monday, expecting a slab of the flatbread to accompany his main order.

However, he was left pondering what had gone wrong with his meal when he broke open the bag to discover his naan was bright green.

Resembling something that has fallen from space rather than the traditional Asian good, the baffled bloke took to social media to get opinions on what had gone wrong with his meal.

The man was shocked when he unwrapped his naan and found out it was bright green.

An image of the bread shows it fresh out of its bag, sitting on the man’s countertop with the corner of a plate of rice just visible at the foot of the snap.

However, instead of its usual colours, the entirety of the naan bread – which is folded over – is a vibrant green.

The foodstuff’s radioactive colour has drawn comparisons to The Incredible Hulk, or Slimer from the Ghostbusters movies rather than a tasty side dish.

On-screen text below the naan bread also reads: “What happened to my naan.”

The man quickly grabbed a photo and took to social media yesterday to share the snap, writing: “The naan I received from the local Indian last night.”

The post has since received over 5,800 likes and more than 1,500 comments from users left in stitches by the food’s unusual colour scheme.

One user said: “Is this pandan flavouring? It’s a long leaf like a blade of grass, the extract is used as a sweet flavour.”

Another joked: “Naan specialist here. Sometimes restaurants serve you alien turds instead.”

A third morbidly quipped: “My naan was green too, but she had been dead for three weeks before we found her”

Another wrote: “It looks like Slimer from Ghostbusters.”

A fifth added: “I’m pretty sure I’ve seen Jon Pertwee fight one of these things in Doctor Who.”

Another commented: “I just want to know what’s going on with the naan. And all I’m getting is Doctor Who references from the fellow British. As a Canadian I’m so lost.”
