Police make eleventh arrest in connection to 2018 murder of two men

AN ELEVENTH person has been arrested in connection to the murder of two men in 2018.

The 22-year-old man was apprehended last week under suspicion of assisting an offender and is thought to be connected to the murder of Daniel Shaw and Johnny Robins.

Johnny Robbins disappeared in Coventry, West Midlands on 21 March 2018 and is believed to have been tortured before being murdered.

The 33-year-old’s body has tragically never been found and his disappearance is thought to be connected to the death of a second victim.

Daniel Shaw was found with fatal gunshot injuries to his chest in Copland Place in Coventry on 25 March 2018.

Earlier this month, West Midlands Police arrested six men on suspicion of conspiracy to murder, and a further two women and two men on suspicion of assisting an offender.

All 11 have since been released on bail as enquiries continue.

In April 2018, a reward of £10,000 was offered to anyone able to offer insight into the tragic incident.

However, police are still on the hunt for any information that can help shed light on the case.

West Midlands Police confirmed they are still looking for Ryan Hobday, aged 28 in 2018.

Hobday, who is from Coventry, is wanted in connection with the murders – although police believe that Hobday himself may have also been murdered.

Deputy Senior Investigating Officer Jenny Birch said: “We are absolutely committed to establishing the truth behind what happened to Johnny and Daniel.

“Six years have passed, and allegiances change. Do the right thing and pick up the phone and tell us what you know.”
