Scots comedian shares shocking abuse from troll telling him “go and kill yourself”

A SCOTS comedian has shared shocking screenshots from an online troll telling him to “go and kill yourself” while branding him a “fat Glasgow joke”.

Darren Connell, who is known for his role in TV show Scot Squad, shared images of the horrifying abuse onto his Twitter page last night.

Screenshots of the messages which have been sent to Darren’s Instagram account show several vile messages sent to him from an unknown troll.

One message reads: “You are a waste of air, go and kill yourself and your miserable little life.

“If you do have kids I hope they get abused, and raped, tortured and killed, well that’s if you don’t sexually abuse them first.

“Knowing you, you probably will you f****** pedophile.”

“I hope your mum and dad both have a heart attack and die the most painful death. That would be hilarious.”

Another message reads: “I bet your mum wished she f****** aborted you, she must be so disappointed with what you turned out to be.”

The harrowing messages continue: “If I see you I will smash you, I’ll leave your face unrecognisable.

“Trust me, your day is coming, and it’s coming quicker than you think.”

Another message read: “You are like the fat Jonah Hill, the Hollywood joke. Except you are the fat Glasgow joke.”

Stand-up comedian Darren captioned his Twitter post: “I’m certainly not doing this for attention, but this is mental.

“Same person as a couple of weeks ago.”

Later that evening, he also revealed how the messages had left him worried.

He said: “I honestly can’t believe the response to that message, thank you so much, I didn’t want to do it for attention, it’s just scary and it makes me worried walking about the town tbh!

“I’ll report it to the police, thank you”

Concerned social media users shared their thoughts on Darren’s post.

Since Darren shared the shocking images last night, his Twitter account has been inundated with hundreds of messages of support from social media users.

@DavidGrayMatter said: “Jesus Darren. I hope you report this anonymous fella cause this is quite terrifying.”

Fellow Scottish actor Stephen Purdon said: “That’s f******* horrendous bud!”

@angusmaroon posted: “That’s f***** disgusting man, so sorry you get sent s*** like this, they clearly need some help but I hope they get caught.”

Stand up comedian Darren is known for his role as Bobby Muir in the hit BBC show Scot Squad.

The role earned him a best actor nomination at the 2015 British Academy Scotland New Talent Awards.

Darren also played to a sold out audience in 2019 at the Glasgow Comedy Festival.
