Woman fumes after Evri courier places delivery in recycling – which was then emptied by bin men

A WOMAN has been left fuming after an Evri courier placed her Calvin Klein delivery in her recycling bin – which was promptly emptied and taken away by the bin men.

Trudie Gotwe Radolia had purchased two pairs of Calvin Klein slippers from House of Fraser earlier this month at the discount price of £16 – rather than the £80 they would have originally cost.

The 44-year-old had received confirmation they had been delivered last Friday but was left puzzled when she couldn’t see them anywhere outside her home.

It was then that Trudie from Derby, Derbyshire noticed the email which stated that the parcel had been placed in her bin for safety and security – which had long since been emptied by the local bin men.

An image shows the delivery photo from the driver with the nondescript white package visibly placed in a blue recycling bin with an empty carton of milk.

There are cans of cherry tomatoes and Koka noodles next to the parcel which lies adjacent to a folded Amazon delivery box.

Trudie shared her frustration to social media last week, writing: “Now my two pairs of shoes have gone with the bin man. No card left to let me know where my parcel is.”

Her post received dozens of likes and comments with people sharing her annoyance at the delivery company.

One said: “That’s absolutely unbelievable, I can’t stand them at all and two of you think it’s funny, would you be laughing if it was your post?”

Another added: “Unbelievable.”

A third replied: “Why in the bin – what a disgusting place, another excuse will follow for the reason, this courier service is beyond a joke the worst I know.”

Speaking today, Trudie said: “The delivery had gone days past when I expected and my parcel hadn’t arrived so I checked my emails.

“I then realised it had been delivered and I clicked on the link at the bottom of the email to see my parcel in the bin – literally a day after the bins had been collected.

“I had bought two pairs of shoes, one for me and one for my friend in Zimbabwe where I’m going at the end of the month.

“I was left upset by the whole thing.”

Evri has been approached for comment.
