Hilarious moment Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst pauses concert – as he can’t understand Yorkshire crowd

THIS is the hilarious moment that Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst paused the band’s concert – after he was left unable to understand the Yorkshire crowd chanting.

Holly Marshall was in the front row to see the legendary band, who were performing at the Piece Hall in Halifax, West Yorkshire last Saturday as part of their Still Sucks tour.

The 20-year-old was among hundreds in the crowd from the local area, who took it upon themselves to pay homage to their home county with the repeated chant of “Yorkshire“.

However, the chant seemed to fall on deaf ears for baffled Durst, 53, who had to hilariously leave the stage to ask his audience to clarify what they were shouting, thanks to their thick accents.

The video shows Durst descending the stairs at the front of the stage dressed in a white American football jersey and a red snapback cap, as his audience chant the county name at him.

Durst from Jacksonville, Florida, looks visibly bewildered as his eyes dart between crowd members and he gazes around in confusion as to what he is hearing.

The musician appears to be struggling to decipher what the crowd is shouting before one helpful fan holds their phone out with the word Yorkshire typed out.

Durst then reads the phone in front of him, hesitantly leaning into his microphone and asking: “Yorkshire?”

Met with a roar of approval from his fans, Durst then gets involved, joining in the chant with his own hilarious impression of a Yorkshire accent.

Holly shared the video to social media on Friday, where it has racked up over 27.000 likes and more than 390 comments from fans left in stitches.

One user commented: “Ahahaha that’s amazing, nothing like a Yorkshire crowd.”

Another wrote: “Are Yorkshire the only county that do this? It would be really weird if the crowd at Rock City started chanting ‘Nottinghamshire! Nottinghamshire!'”

A third said: “The way he started saying ‘yorkshuh’.”

Another commented: “Made my day this! Fred even chants it in a Yorkshire accent.”

A fifth wrote: “To this day he still doesn’t know what a Yorkshire is.”

Speaking today bakehouse owner Holly said: “Someone started chanting Yorkshire which usually happens at a Yorkshire gig and he thought we was shouting nausea at him, so he came down to try understand what we were saying.

“Someone ended up writing it down on their notes app so he could understand and when he did, he started chanting back in a pretty good Yorkshire accent!

“He loved Yorkshire and the Piece Hall is a brilliant venue. It was an insane gig, he kept saying it was like 1999 but told us to mosh safely.

“I was at front barrier which was a total coincidence. I managed to make front because ten people were immediately pulled out by security in the first 20 seconds on the first song.

“I was already in shock but I really didn’t expect him to come down to the front, I didn’t know what else to do other than chant ‘Yorkshire’ at him!

“Once he got it and started chanting back it was brilliant, I think I was in shock for the whole gig, I also sent the video to him on Instagram and he saw it and liked it which was pretty cool.

“I just think we all did it because if you’re from Yorkshire you love where you’re from. God’s own country as they say.

“I’ve been a fan for years so being able to see them in my hometown was just fab, it really brings in so much business for local people and gives Halifax so much exposure.”
