Sturgeon gets ovation from holidaymakers at Edinburgh Airport

NICOLA Sturgeon received a round of applause yesterday from passengers at Edinburgh Airport.

The victorious First Minister was heading to London to take part in a ceremony to mark VE Day.

But as Sturgeon reached the top of the elevator and entered the departure lounge she received an ovation from dozens of holidaymakers waiting for flights.

In the airport café she strolled over to a table of holiday makers asking, “Where you off to?”

She spent several minutes chatting and laughing with passengers and airport staff as well as posing for selfies.
